ARG Palace reacts at the launch of new political coalition in Afghanistan

The Presidential Palace in Afghanistan, ARG Palace, reacted at the announcement regarding the launch of a new political coalition in the country.

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said the government of Afghanistan welcomes all the programs, recommendations, and plans by the political parties, coalitions, and civil society activists.

The statement further added that the government welcomes such programs, recommendations, and plans, provided that they correspond with the enforced laws of the country and demands of the people.

Ata Mohammad Noor accuses ARG Palace of massive corruption

The chief executive of Jamia-e-Islami Ata Mohammad Noor has accused the ARG Presidential Palace of massive corruption, claiming that millions are being embezzled in large contracts under different pretexts in the office of the president.

Noor made the latest claims during a gathering in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan as a deadlock still persists between him and the government due to the circumstances surrounding his resignation.

He claimed that evidences and documents are available with him to prove that millions have been embezzled in large contracts, specifically pointing towards the fuel contracts for the national defense and security forces.

ARG Palace reacts at alleged communication of Dostum’s position

The Afghan government has reacted towards the alleged communication of Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum’s position, saying no one from ARG has communicated Vice President’s position with any individual or entity.

President Ghani’s spokesman Haroon Chakhansuri said “No one from Arg has communicated VP position with any individual/entity – something you don’t see in entire interview of Mr. Noor with BBC.”

The statement by ARG Palace was issued after the Office of the First President reacted at Ata Mohammad Noor’s remarks.

Calling Noor’s remarks as ridiculous, a statement by Dostum’s office stated that Noor along with some others have started to act against their own party (Jamiat-e-Islami) during the recent days as well as Junbish-e-Millie party and against the First Vice President.
