At least seven people from one family were wounded in a rocket attack on a civilian area in PD5 in Kabul city on Tuesday afternoon.
The first explosion happened shortly after 1pm local time and the second about 10 minutes later. A third one followed a short while later.
Residents in the area reported that another three landed by 2pm local time.
“My children were having lunch when the explosion happened. All of them were frightened, we have fled the area,” said one Afshar resident Nafisa.
“If they can’t provide security to the people, they should step down so that someone else can come in, we are dying every day,” said another resident Sakina.
Kabul police have confirmed two children and one woman were seriously wounded in the attack and were taken to hospital.
Eyewitnesses said the first rocket landed on a house injuring the people inside. The other rockets reportedly landed on the slope of a nearby mountain.
