Second ‘Kabul process’ conference to be held tomorrow

Kabul will host foreign ministers and high-ranking officials of 25 countries and three international organizations on the upcoming Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said.

Officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Afghanistan’s High Peace Council (AHPC) said the summit will focus on joint combats against terrorism and supporting the Afghan-led peace process.

“The countries that are participating in Kabul conference have promised to cooperate in the fight against terrorism with [Afghanistan],” said Ahmad Shekib Mustaghni, the MoFA Spokesman.

“The countries that are participating in [Kabul Process] conference will support Afghanistan’s peace process and a new plan drafted by the Council,” said Sayed Ihsanuddin Taheri, the AHPC Spokesman.
