A-29s pound Taliban targets in Kunduz leaving 6 militants dead, wounded

At least six militants were killed or wounded in a series of airstrikes conducted by the Afghan Air Force in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan army in a statement said the Afghan Air Force A-29 light attack planes carried out a string of airstrikes on Taliban targets in Dasht-e-Archi district.
The statement further added that two Taliban insurgents were killed as a result of the airstrikes conducted in Seh Rahi Mohammad Alm village and Tapa-e-Mohibullah.

At leat four Taliban insurgents were also wounded, two of their hideouts were destroyed and some weapons including a rocket launched, one PKM machine gun, and two Ak-47s were destroyed, the statement added.

The anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
