Dostum warns to leave Afghanistan if Ghani ignored his request regarding Qaisari

The First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum demanded the immediate release of his close ally and former police chief of Qaisar district of Faryab Nizamuddin Qaisari.

Gen. Dostum raised the demand shortly after returning to Kabul and appearing before a press conferene in his office in Kabul.

He said he will hold talks with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani regarding the release of Qasairi.

However, he warned that he will leave the country once again if President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani did not accept his demand for the release of Qaisari.

This comes as sources close to Junbish Milli Party had earlier said that the First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum will step up efforts for the release of Commander Nizamuddin Qaisari after his return to Kabul today.

Govt urged to trial soldiers for allegedly torturing Qaisari’s security guards

Junbish Millie party on Saturday urged the government to trail those Afghan security forces allegedly involved in torture and abuse of bodyguards of militia commander Nizamuddin Qaisari arrested by the government.

A graphic video emerged on Friday, showing Afghan forces abusing bound and wounded bodyguards of Qaisari, kicking bloodied detainees in the face and stepping on their heads while smiling and posing for the camera.

“The emerged videos are true and they [Qaisari’s security guards] were abused and tortured,” said Bashir Ahmad Tayenj, spokesman of Junbish Millie party. “We urge the government and the international organizations to pursue the case.”

Following the issue, the Mohammad Musa Mahmudi, the Human Rights commission’s Chief Executive described the abuse and torture of the individuals as illegal.
